Dream Green Series on KRUU-FM

Dream Green is a new series of hour-long shows, broadcasted on local favorite, solar-powered KRUU-FM.  The series is focused on bringing energy efficiency awareness to individuals, businesses and organizations by highlighting some of the success stories around Iowa in the field of energy efficiency.

Hosted by Stuart Tanner and James Moore, listeners can expect to gain a better understanding of what is possible, why it matters and where to start.  Moving us to a more sustainable future.

Local Soup

Mmmmmmm...garden fresh veggies with organic spices and oils, locally grown wheat berries and chai made with cream processed four miles down the street. Eat your fill while drinking fresh basil, stevia and sage tea. Talk with friends under candle light in an old fashioned long table family manner. This is the scene over here at the Summer Cafe, you can count on us being here for through July and August for an enlightened environment that will entertain your mind and keep your belly happy.

Welcome to the Online Presence of the SLC

Economist Paul Romer, in a different context, stated, “A Crisis is a Terrible thing to Waste.”  Within the next 50 years – our culture will be bearing fully the brunt and repercussions of multiple crisis: Climate Change, Resource Depletion (Peak Oil), Human Population Growth and Species Extinction.  The Sustainable Living Coalition was founded by a group of passionate, dedicated and concerned people as a direct and POSITIVE response to the aforementioned problems.
