Introductory Bow, Arrow and Atlatl Workshops

This two-weekend course is designed as a hands-on introduction to the basic skills and techniques necessary to begin making from scratch: bows, arrows and atlatls (a simple spear thrower). Students take home from the course a completed atlatl, a functional board bow and a number of arrows. Students will acquire the basic knowledge and hands-on experience needed to build their own bows and arrows. A variety of bow construction types including: self, board, and backed bows will be on-hand for students to handle and shoot. A variety of construction techniques will be demonstrated and discussed. This is an excellent program for youth group leaders.

We are offering two workshops this spring: April 17-18, 24-25 and May 1-2, 8-9
